Kent Combs

Kent Combs is a certified Holden Qi Gong Tier 1 instructor and Reiki practitioner based in Olympia, Washington.

He didn't come to this work easily. He came to it because he needed it. Fifteen years in professional kitchens wore him down, his body, his mind, his spirit all paid the bill. When the pandemic hit and life fell apart, he reluctantly started a daily Qi Gong practice. He wiggled his arms and breathed. Somewhere in the middle of each session, something would lift. The sadness and the looping thoughts would go quiet, and he didn't have to understand why. Eight months in, he stopped needing his glasses. He hung up his apron in 2020 and never looked back.

Kent's work is about integration, bringing the body, the breath, and the energy underneath it all back into the same conversation. Most people come to him feeling scattered, stiff, or stuck. They leave feeling like themselves again.

His teaching is grounded, warm, and a little playful, with real respect for wherever you happen to be starting from. You don't have to be flexible. You don't have to be calm or spiritual. You just have to show up and breathe.

He sees the big picture, but focuses on small things that add up to great gains.
